About

Tyler Seals was born and raised in Bellevue, Nebraska, to parents who served in the military. Growing up in a disciplined and structured environment, Tyler developed a strong work ethic and desire to lead. After playing football and basketball at Bellevue West High School, he chose to continue his football career at the collegiate level with the Bearcats. He was a quarterback and class captain for the 2009 national championship football team and played through the 2012 season. He earned his bachelor's degree in marketing in 2013. While in Maryville, Tyler was a law clerk for then-Nodaway County Prosecutor, Robert Rice, and at Northwest was also involved with mock trial, the International Student Conversation Partner program and Mentors Over Retention and Education program.

After completing his undergraduate studies, Tyler attended Creighton University School of Law in Omaha, Nebraska, where he graduated in 2017. While at Creighton, he made use of the business background he obtained during his undergraduate studies and focused on finding a career path where he could assist business owners through their most exciting and challenging moments. That career path came in the form of working as an attorney in the mergers and acquisitions industry, where attorneys help business owners and managers buy and sell companies. After spending the beginning of his legal career at a nationally renowned law firm, Tyler and several of his partners co-founded the law firm, Smith Pauley LLP, headquartered in Omaha. Smith Pauley LLP was formed in 2022 and quickly became one of the fastest growing law firms in the state of Nebraska. Tyler serves on the management committee and leads the mergers and acquisitions practice group.

Outside of professional pursuits, you can find Tyler spending time with his wife, Elle Seals (who is also an entrepreneur) and their three children.
