After 25 years in the banking industry, Seann O’Riley currently holds the title of executive vice president and chief lending officer for Nodaway Valley Bank. Seann is a Maryville native, who earned his B.S. degree in Finance from Northwest Missouri State University in 1993. He is proud to say that he hails from a family of educators; with his mother, sister, and numerous extended family members having devoted their lives to being teachers and administrators in the field of education. He resides in St. Joseph, Missouri, with his wife Christi (Apple) (’92) and two children, Garrett and Kenna.

Why are you “forever green”?

“Growing up in Maryville provided me a unique perspective on how important the success of Northwest is to my hometown and the region as a whole. The college degree I earned, the friendships I formed, and the lasting memories Northwest provided me, created a strong foundation in both my personal and professional life. Serving in management at Nodaway Valley Bank has further reinforced my belief that Northwest provides a positive economic and social impact vital for the area. I owe so much to the University, and I feel that working to assist in creating opportunities for current and future Bearcats is a simple way to pay it forward. Being a Bearcat creates a lasting bond for all who attend the university, and striving to be ‘forever green’ is one of the best ways I can honor being a member of the Northwest family.”
