After graduation, Mike worked for 42 years in the insurance industry with stops in Kansas City, Atlanta, Little Rock, St. Louis and back in Kansas City. He worked for two national insurance companies and a large risk management firm. His area of expertise included surety bonding for contractors, and he was instrumental in placing over 40 Missouri rural school districts into a public entity, health insurance risk pool.
Mike and his wife, Jacci (a retired teacher and coach), live in Lee’s Summit. They have three grown kids: Mackenzie (Alex), Matthew (Tracy) and Mark (Kayla). And, four grandkids: Parker, Preston, Miles and Dominic. They are excited to welcome a fifth grandchild in September of 2023!
