Welcome to the Payroll Office

The primary duty of the Payroll Office is to pay all university employees. Office hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. We are located in Room 107 in the Administration Building or you may contact us at 660.562.1108 or payroll@nwmissouri.edu

When are timesheets due?

Employees must submit timesheets before 5 PM on the first business day following the end of the pay period. Failure to submit the timesheet could delay payment.

How do I fill out a Web Time Entry timesheet?

The Web Time Entry Users Guide will assist most employees on how to complete their timesheet. Graduate Assistants will find this Web Time Entry Quick Reference for Graduate Assistants very helpful.

When will I be paid?

Faculty, Staff, and Graduate Assistants are paid on the last working day of the month. Temporary hourly employees are paid on the 10th of the following month, unless the 10th falls on a Saturday or Sunday, in which they will be paid on the prior Friday. Student employees are paid on the 25th of the following month, unless it falls on a Saturday or Sunday, in which they will be paid on the prior Friday.

How do I set up direct deposit for my pay or change my banking information already on file?

The Payroll Enrollment Form must be completed digitally. Upon completion of the form, employees must print, sign and attach the appropriate documentation to the completed form before delivering it to the Payroll Office. The Payroll Enrollment Form can be found in Canvas.

How do I change my federal or MO W-4 form?

You may stop by the Payroll Office to complete new forms. Faculty and Staff members will also find W-4 forms on MyNorthwest under My Employment, Office and Personnel Forms, Tax forms. Digital signatures are not accepted on these forms and depending on when forms are received will determine which payroll they are applied.

How do I elect to receive my W-2 electronically?

Active employees may sign up to receive their W-2 electronically by following these steps:

  • Log into CatPAWS.
  • Click on Employee.
  • Click on Tax Forms.
  • Click on Electronic Regulatory Consent.
  • Click to select the box to Consent to receive W-2 electronically then click submit

By consenting to receive your W-2 electronically, you acknowledge that Northwest will not mail a paper copy of your W-2. You are consenting to obtain a printed copy of your W-2 by returning to the site and clicking “W-2 Wage and Tax Statement.” Your consent will be valid for all subsequent tax years unless revoked by you, or upon termination, or this service is not supported in a future tax year. You may revoke your consent and receive a paper Form W-2 by accessing this site and unchecking the box.

Where are timesheet correction forms located?

Faculty and Staff members will find timesheet correction forms on MyNorthwest under My Employment, Office and Personnel Forms, Payroll Forms.

How do I change my contribution to my 403(b) or 457 Deferred Compensation?

You may stop by the Payroll Office to complete new forms. Faculty and Staff members will also find forms on MyNorthwest under My Employment, Office and Personnel Forms, 403(b) Forms, 403(b) Participation Agreement Form.
