James H. Lemon Heritage Society

All planned or deferred gifts created by a donor and communicated to Northwest through the Office of University Advancement entitle the donor to inclusion in the James H. Lemon Heritage Society. There is no minimum level gift required for recognition purposes.

Pledges allow you to commit to future donations and share your intent with the Foundation.

Your gift can be pledged with a monthly, quarterly or annual contribution. You may fulfill your pledge through a variety of payment methods. You can establish your pledge by contacting our office at 660.562.1248 or advance@nwmissouri.edu.

An endowed gift establishes a perpetual source of income for Northwest which can be used for scholarships or other designated purposes.

Double or triple the impact of your gift at no additional cost.

Most large corporations encourage volunteerism and charitable giving and are willing to match, dollar for dollar, the amount that their employees donate to higher education. Some companies even match gifts on a greater than 1-to-1 basis. Along with matching monetary donations, some corporations will match volunteer hours with a cash amount. Even gifts to Northwest from persons other than employees of a company are eligible for corporate matches, including:

• non-employee directors of a company
• retired employees
• spouses
• spouses of retired employees, and
• widows or widowers of retired employees

To find out if you or your spouse's employer will match your gift, talk with your human resources office or visit our online lookup site.

If the company matches, here's the game plan:

1. Obtain a matching gift form from the human resources office
2. Fill it out completely
3. Send the matching gift form along with your donation to:

Your portion of the gift is 100 percent tax deductible as allowed by law, and your employer will also receive a tax deduction for its portion of the gift.
