Before requesting a periodical article from another library, please:

Follow the instructions to Locating Periodicals in Owens Library to learn of availability of the article in the library's collection. Full-text articles may be available online in one of the other databases linked from the Search for Articles page. Fill out the form below if you don't find the periodical article in the library's collection or in a full-text database. If you need assistance, please Ask a Librarian or contact Glenn Morrow.

However, if an article costs $15.00 or more you will be contacted by a staff member in the Owens Library Interlibrary Loan Department and you will be given the option of agreeing to pay the fee for which you would be responsible for any charges for photocopies received prior to your "last usable date" or you may also cancel the request.

Warning Concerning Copyright Restrictions:
The copyright law of the United States (Title 17, United States Code) governs the making of photocopies or other reproductions of copyrighted material. Under certain conditions specified in the law, libraries and archives are authorized to furnish a photocopy or other reproduction. One of these specified conditions is that the photocopy or reproduction is not be "used for any purpose other than private study, scholarship, or research." If a user makes a request for, or later uses, a photocopy or reproduction for purposes in excess of "fair use," that user may be liable for copyright infringement. This institution reserves the right to refuse to accept a copying order if, in its judgment, fulfillment of the order would involve violation of copyright law.
