The Horace Mann Library is available for Horace Mann students and parents; and Northwest faculty, staff, and students. It is open Monday-Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The library is closed on days when school is not in session.
Currently, students in grades Kindergarten through Third will have one, 30 minute checkout time per week. Students in grades Fourth through Sixth are able to use the library as often as needed, with teacher approval.

|1st Grade||1 book or magazine for 1 week
IF they have been responsible with their books and getting them turned in on time,
they can begin checking out 2 books in the spring semester.
|2nd Grade||2 books or magazines for 1 week|
|3rd/4th Grade||3 books or magazines for 2 weeks|
|5th/6th Grade||4 books or magazines for 2 weeks|
|Adults||Any number of books for 2 weeks|
*Books can be renewed. It is not imperative that the student bring the book with them to renew.

Tumblebooks can be used on computers as well as any mobile device. Additional post-reading activities compliment many of the books.
