The Bearcat Club is a before and after school child care program for Leet Center and Horace Mann Lab School. Northwest student employees care for children with the direction of Cindy Rouner, Leet Center Director, and Sandy Seipel, Horace Mann Principal.
Bearcat Club offers before school child care beginning at 6:15 a.m. Monday-Friday. At 7:30 a.m., children are accompanied to their classrooms by Northwest student employees. After school child care is available from 3:15 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Bearcat Club is also available for in the event of snow days.
During the month of June, summer school hours are 7:45 a.m. - 11:45 a.m. Monday through Thursday. Bearcat Club is offered from 11:45 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 7:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. on Fridays.
Children that participate in the Bearcat Club before and after school program receive care and support in a positive environment. Bearcat Club’s relaxed atmosphere includes snacks, time for homework, reading, and various activities and on campus field trips. Children are able to participate in Chess Club, Science Club, Technology Club, and other clubs sponsored by various University organizations and clubs.
