I grew up on a small farm just east of Independence, Missouri and graduated from Fort Osage High School in 1984. I graduated from Northwest in 1988 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Broadcasting/Business and began a career in radio shortly after graduation. My professional career has included work in commercial radio sales, customer service within the finance industry, professional voiceover talent for radio and television, and magazine distribution through both the U.S. mail and on newsstands. Life’s journey has taken me from Independence to Maryville to Liberty to Southwest Florida and back to Maryville. I came back to Northwest in June 2013 as the Underwriting Sales Executive for 90.5FM KXCV in Maryville and 88.9FM KRNW in Chillicothe. I've enjoyed my role at KXCV as not just the underwriting sales executive but also as the liaison between the station and the community.
I'm looking forward to my new role as Development Officer for the Northwest Foundation so that I can help the organization grow and make Northwest a better place for the students and the Maryville community.
I am an active member of the Maryville Host Lions club and in my free time I enjoy camping, hiking, and doing volunteer work in the community where I serve on several committees and boards. This past summer I was instrumental in reinventing the Maryville Farmers Market.
I am the father of three wonderful daughters; Emily, Katey, and Natalie. My beautiful wife, Andrea, is the third and fourth grade instructor at Horace Mann Elementary Lab School on the Northwest Campus.
