About

Mitzi Craft Marchant became Northwest’s Director of Donor Engagement in July 2018 after serving four years as director of corporate and foundation relations and, before that, vice president of university relations. Since joining Northwest in 1999, Marchant also has filled the roles of chief public relations officer, director of advancement communications, director of information and marketing, and communications assistant. She also was an adjunct faculty member in the School of Communication and Mass Media, teaching a course in public relations.

Prior to joining Northwest, Marchant was community development and special projects coordinator for the Northwest Missouri Regional Council of Governments and has a background in journalism and advertising.

In addition, she was active in the Maryville community, serving in board positions for the Maryville Chamber of Commerce, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Nodaway County, the Children and Family Center of Northwest Missouri and the American Association of University Women. In Kansas City, she serves on the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Kansas City Donation Center Board and the ArtsTech Board of Directors and is an Ambassador for the Gladstone Chamber of Commerce.

Marchant, who lives in Kansas City with her husband, Mark, enjoys tennis, golf, racquetball, hiking, snow skiing and traveling.
