About

Bill is the founder, owner, and managing principal of The Session Law Firm P.C., a practice he established in 1992. Beyond his legal career, he is deeply invested in civic service and community advocacy, dedicating his time to vital Kansas City organizations including the Opportunities Industrialization Center, Habitat for Humanity, the Heart of America Boy Scout Council, and Big Brothers/Big Sisters.

Bill also has a long history of supporting higher education leadership, having served as a member of the Northwest Foundation Board from 1994 to 1999. He shares his life with his partner, Pat, and is an incredibly proud stepfather to Joel Splan, ’97 and grandfather to Joleigh, who is currently keeping the Bearcat connection alive as a student at Northwest.

Why I serve

“Excited to bring some different perspectives about what programs, academic and campus-wide, could benefit from additional financial support.”
