University Office & Department Photo Contest

NEW! This year we are starting a new competition between the offices and departments on campus. Each office or department will have the opportunity to submit a photo displaying their best Homecoming spirit. The entries will be posted on our social media the week of Homecoming. Whichever photo receives the most likes will win a $100 cash prize!

Voting takes place Noon-5 p.m. Monday, Oct. 21

If your office or department is wanting to compete please contact the Homecoming Secretary at homecmg@nwmissouri.edu.

Blood Drive

The Homecoming Committee and Student Senate are collaborating to host a Blood Drive Oct. 22-24. Northwest students and employees, alumni, community members, and friends and family are invited to give blood or a monetary donation. The blood drive is 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. each day in the Tower View Room, located on the third floor of the Student Union. Interested donors may pre-register online by visiting www.esavealifenow.org/PublicScheduler/GroupLanding.aspx?s=bearcats.

Student organizations will compete to raise the most money and units of blood. To give blood or donations in support of a student organization, let a committee member know at the refreshment table.

1 unit of blood = 1 point
$10 = 1 point (a maximum of 3 points can be earned per donor)

Free!

The Student Activities Council hosts actress and comedian Jessi Campbell. The first 500 attendees receive a Northwest T-shirt.

Variety Show

$5 per person

The Variety Show is a two night show that consists of Northwest students acting out various skits that relate to the theme, along with olio acts such as singers and magicians. Royalty Crowning will be Thursday, Oct. 24, at the end of the show, around 9 p.m. Presentation of the royalty court will also happen at intermission of the Friday night show.

You may purchase a ticket in the Cashiering Office (on the first floor of the Administration Building) or online. *Please purchase tickets in advanced, it cannot be promised that there will be tickets available the day of the show.

Homecoming Parade

Free!

All Northwest students, faculty, staff, alumni, family & friends are welcome to attend the parade!

The Homecoming Parade route starts at the corner of Ray and College Avenue. It will proceed east to the main University entrance at Fourth Street, continue on Fourth, ending at Fourth and Main. Please do not enter the parade route once the parade has began.

The parade will take place in any weather, with the exception of lightning.
