These
scholarships are awarded through University and state programs. Such
scholarships include Bright Flight, the Missouri Teacher Education
Scholarship and National Guard/ROTC Scholarship among others.
These
scholarships are funded by our Northwest Foundation.
They are not specific to any major, but may be limited by academic,
geographic, or grade level criteria.
Admission-based Transfer Scholarships (No Application Needed)
No separate scholarship is required. Scholarship level is determined by
the transfer GPA and transferable credit hours provided on the college
transcript(s) with Admission Application.
Program in effect for students entering Northwest for the first time in fall 2013. Admission deadline for Fall awards is May 1.

3.5-4.00 cumulative GPA in transfer
First-time student at Northwest
Award: $2,500
Renewal Requirements:
Minimum 3.50 Northwest cumulative GPA and completion of 24 credit hours per academic year. If Northwest cumulative GPA is less than 3.5, student will follow Transfer Academic Scholarship and is not eligible to return to the Transfer Distinguished Scholar Program.
Maximum Award: Six trimesters within consecutive academic years

3.30-3.49 cumulative GPA in transfer
First-time student at Northwest
Award: $1,500
Renewal Requirements:
Minimum 3.30 Northwest cumulative GPA and completion of 24 credit hours per academic year. If Northwest cumulative GPA is less than 3.30 at end of academic year, student is not eligible to return to Transfer Academic Scholarship.
Maximum Award: Six trimesters within consecutive academic years.
At least 24 transferable credit hours: must have cumulative GPA of 3.00
Non-Missouri Residents
First-time student at Northwest
Award:
Estimate - $3,054.30 (50% reduction in difference between in-state and out-of-state tuition based on 30 credit hours for fall/spring trimester)
With a 3.00 Northwest cumulative GPA and completion of 24 credit hours,
student would be eligible for the Non-Resident Award and either MSEP or
Out of State Award
ELIGIBILITY: American Indian or Alaska Native, Asian, Black or African American, Hispanic/Latino, Native Hawaiian or other Pacific Islander, U.S. citizen or graduate from eligible high school.
