Transfer Scholarships
Admission-based Transfer Scholarships
No separate scholarship is required. Scholarship level is determined by the transfer GPA and transferable credit hours provided on the college transcript(s) with Admission Application.
University and State-Sponsored Scholarships
These scholarships are awarded through University and state programs. Such scholarships include Bright Flight, the Missouri Teacher Education Scholarship and National Guard/ROTC Scholarship among others.
Disclaimers
- The Freshman President's Scholarship and Distinguished Scholar will supersede Academic Excellence Scholar or Tower Scholar and Transfer President's Scholarship will supersede the Transfer Academic Scholarship.
- The scholarship guidelines on which a student enters the University remain the same until graduation.
- Undergraduate scholarships are restricted for use during a student's first undergraduate program.
- All scholarship recipients must be enrolled full-time (12 hours per trimester) to receive University scholarships.
- Students must be accepted for admission before scholarship application is considered.
- Students participating in the Study Abroad Program where out-of-state fees are waived, will not receive the Non-Resident Award, the Out-of-State Award or Midwest Student Exchange that trimester.
- Major-specific and private scholarship award amounts funded through the Northwest Foundation may fluctuate with funding availability.
- Any hours being transferred in do not include AP, CLEP, military or other non-graded credit awards.
- Renewal requirements must be met within the academic year sequence (fall, spring and/or summer) in order to maintain continuous award of the scholarship.
