Hardscape Zone is responsible for the University's Streets, Parking Lots, Sidewalks, Trash Removal, Pellet Plant, Recycling Program and many other functions that assist the Landscape Department in making the University safe and appealing.

Athletic Grounds Zone is responsible for all of the athletic fields. They diligently prepare all of the fields prior to home games, and make sure that the practice fields are suitable for all practice.

The Sustainability Office was established in January 2011 to help Northwest continue to efficiently advance as an innovative sustainable community through educational outreach, campus engagement, and collaborative partnerships.
The sustainability coordinator is responsible for encouraging and facilitating sustainability programs initiated by students, faculty, and staff, as well as assisting in the development and implementation of a long range sustainability plan at Northwest.
