Camp C.O.P.E. Scholarship Fund

Your support will offer Northwest students profession-based learning experiences of the students who are working to develop and deliver Camp C.O.P.E. Camp C.O.P.E. is a day camp designed to provide fun, therapeutic experiences for children who are coping with the death of a sibling or parent. Your gift will help sponsor a child between the ages of 5 and 17 to attend the camp at Mozingo Lake in July of 2017.

Camp C.O.P.E. is a resource being offered to youth of Nodaway County who have experienced a significant loss. These losses may have been in the form of death of family member, death of a friend, incarceration of a care provider, removal from the home, moving to a new community, etc. This is a one day event, all staff have completed safety training, local and federal background checks, and an educational course on how to properly assist children that have experienced loss.

Our mission is to provide a dynamic camp experience whereby kids experiencing grief can foster positive peer relationships while learning healthy strategies for coping with their losses.

All gifts qualify as tax deductions and are processed by the Northwest Foundation.
If a goal is not fulfilled, the funds will be deposited into the department's operating fund.
