Northwest Online

M.S. Recreation

The Recreation program at Northwest Missouri State University offers a completely online Master’s of Science in Recreation that provides an in-depth understanding of the fast moving, increasingly complex challenges in the world of recreation. Students will make full use of interactive, online learning activities designed to challenge and inspire growth. Students “come” to ”class” at times when they are ready to learn — not at a specific time in the evening after working all day.

In order to earn the Master's of Recreation Online, students must complete 33 credit hours, including 18 hours of core Recreation courses and 15 hours of advisor-approved elective courses.

To be considered for admission to graduate studies at Northwest, an applicant should submit an application well in advance of enrollment date. The application along with official transcripts of all previous degree(s) and credits earned from all accredited institutions, and GREGMAT scores or alternative requirements, if applicable, must be submitted to the Graduate Office.
