Herrera appointed to Northwest Regional Development Corporation Board

Dr. Bronson Herrera, an assistant professor of political science at Northwest Missouri State University, recently was appointed to the Northwest Missouri Regional Development Corporation Board.

The Northwest Missouri Regional Development Corporation is a non-profit corporation that contracts with the Northwest Missouri Regional Council of Governments to provide it with staff and administrative services for its programs. The Northwest Missouri Regional Council of Governments serves 40 towns in northwest Missouri to assist with multipurpose planning and promote coordinated actions among member governments.

“I am pleased that the administration has enough confidence in me to do this work,” Herrera said. “I hope that my work for the Board allows me to network for the benefit of the students at Northwest.”

Herrera joined the Northwest faculty in 2018. His academic interests include media and religion in politics as well as morality policy and public administration.

He has a bachelor’s degree in political science from Brigham Young University-Idaho as well as master’s and doctorate degrees in political science with emphases on policy and public administration from the University of Kansas.
