Alumni Association sponsoring Bearcat Day at the Kansas City Zoo

Northwest Missouri State University alumni and friends of all ages are invited to gather with fellow Bearcats and enjoy a day at the Kansas City Zoo.

The Northwest Alumni Association and its Kansas City Alumni and Friends Chapter are sponsoring Bearcat Day at the Kansas City Zoo from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, June 1.

“The second annual Bearcat Day at the Zoo is really becoming a Northwest family tradition for the Kansas City area,” Bob Machovsky, Northwest’s director of alumni relations and annual giving, said. “This event is sponsored by our Kansas City Alumni and Friends chapter and really is their marque event for the year. 

Discounted tickets for the event are available for $11 for individuals wearing Bearcat gear.

The Kansas City chapter will present a free water bottle to Northwest visitors at the zoo entrance. A group photo will take place at 1 p.m. outside the penguin exhibit.
