A smartphone application available to the Northwest Missouri State University community provides a more dynamic layer of accessibility and connectivity to information about the University.
The Northwest Mobile App gives students easy access to grades, academic holds, class schedules, account balances and other features of CatPAWS. The app also includes links to a campus map, the campus directory, library resources and Northwest’s official social media accounts, among other useful online tools.
The app is available on iOS and Android devices. To download the app, search for “Northwest Mobile App” in the iPhone or Google app stores; users should look for the app with the "education" label and screenshots with Northwest Missouri State University branding.
In addition to the Northwest Mobile App, Northwest encourages its employees, students and visitors to download “In Case of Crisis-Education,” a free app that provides instant access to Northwest emergency plans so users know what to do when a crisis strikes. The app features information categorized by scenarios and provides actions to take in cases of fire, severe weather, evacuation and workplace violence, among other situations. Emergency phone contacts and helpful online resources also are included in the app.
Northwest also plays an active role on numerous social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Flickr, LinkedIn and Pinterest. Many Northwest offices, organizations, departments, athletics and alumni accounts are using social media as well. To connect with Northwest offices and organizations using social media, click here.
