Northwest Missouri State University students of all majors are invited to audition for Mainstage and student-directed Lab Series productions for Theatre Northwest’s fall season.
Theatre Northwest’s 2018-2019 season features eight productions beginning with “A Fall Evening of One-Acts, Sept. 21-22. The 28th annual Freshman/Transfer Showcase is Oct. 4-7 when this year’s first-year students stage “Love/Sick” by John Cariani.
“Same Time, Next Year” by Bernard Slade, Nov. 8-11; “A Spring Evening of One-Acts,” Feb. 8-9, 2019; “Love Letters” by A.R. Gurney, Feb. 14-17, 2019; and “Macbeth” by William Shakespeare, April 11-14, 2019.
Information about auditions for fall productions is provided below. All auditions will take place in the Ron Houston Center for the Performing Arts. Students may sign up for audition times on the callboard behind the Mary Linn Auditorium in the Houston Center.

“Love/Sick” (Freshman/Transfer Show), 6-8:30 p.m. Auditions are open to all first-year students, regardless of major. Readings will be provided, and no prepared monologues are required. Students should bring class and work schedules.
“A Fall Evening of One-Acts,” 6 to 8:30 p.m. for returning students. Requires one contemporary comedic monologue and one contemporary dramatic monologue, under two minutes total. Cold readings are available for non-majors.
“Love/Sick” callbacks, 6 p.m.
“A Fall Evening of One-Acts” callbacks, 6 p.m.
“Same Time, Next Year,” 6 to 8:30 p.m. for returning students. Requires two contrasting contemporary monologues under two minutes total. Cold readings are available for non-majors.
