Northwest Missouri State University’s Celebration show choir will present its annual spring show at 7:30 p.m. Friday, April 20, at the Ron Houston Center for the Performing Arts.
This year’s show will feature a variety of music, including choreographed company numbers and small ensembles, showcasing music from “Wicked,” “Footloose,” “Les Miserables,” “South Pacific,” “Thoroughly Modern Millie” and “The Fantasticks.”
Admission is free, and the show is open to the public.
Celebration is a group of 32 multi-talented performers who sing and dance and are accompanied by a 10-piece band. The ensemble represents a variety of academic majors across the University, and the choir is known during the fall trimester as The Madraliers, a chamber choir that presents concerts on and off campus, including the annual Yuletide Feaste. Dr. Brian Lanier, professor of music, directs the choir.
