Northwest Missouri State University-Kansas City is inviting business owners and managers in the North Kansas City area to share their ideas about the skills that are lacking in their workforces and how the University can partner to assist businesses with their needs.
Northwest-Kansas City will host the free business forum, which is open to the public, from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 20, at the Northland Innovation Campus, located at 6889 North Oak Trafficway in Gladstone, Missouri.
Attendees will tour Northwest-Kansas City and participate in a facilitated discussion to discover workforce needs and discuss degree completion offerings at Northwest-Kansas City as they relate to the needs of the business community.
Northwest-Kansas City offers completion programs in business, communication, computer science, criminology, education, health science and psychology. It also offers dual credit coursework through a partnership with Northland CAPS, professional education graduate degrees and client-based educational opportunities.
Additionally, Northwest enjoys a partnership with Metropolitan Community College (MCC) to offer FastTracks, a concurrent enrollment program to increase the number of students completing associate and bachelor’s degrees in an accelerated format.
