Zach Nielsen, a senior business management and marketing major at Northwest Missouri State University, is the recipient of the J. Edward Zollinger Outstanding Senior Award for District 18 of the Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity.
The award, named for the longtime president of the Sigma Phi Epsilon Educational Foundation, recognizes individuals who have attained outstanding scholastic achievement, community involvement and leadership within their fraternity and campus communities. Recipients are selected from nominations submitted by chapters, chapter counselors and alumni and volunteer corporations.
Nielsen, a native of Omaha, Nebraska, received the J. Edward Zollinger Outstanding Senior Award Feb. 18 at the Sigma Phi Epsilon Carlson Leadership Academy conference in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
He is an intern with the Northwest’s Department of Athletics this spring and serves as Order of Omega president and senior class representative on Student Senate. He previously was Sigma Phi Epsilon’s vice president of programming and vice president of member development, and he was a career ambassador for Northwest Career Services.
