Sept. 3, 2015
Northwest Missouri State University faculty Dr. William Richardson and Dr. Charles Badami will present a Labor Day faculty trumpet recital at 7 p.m. Monday, Sept. 7, in the Charles Johnson Theater at the Olive DeLuce Fine Arts Building.
The performance is free and open to the public.
Northwest faculty members Dr. Elizabeth Dunning, playing horn, and Robert Pippin, playing trombone, will join Richardson and Badami.
“We are really excited for this performance,” Richardson said. “This concert features a wide variety of styles and musical moods. Version 2.0 of the Northwest Faculty Brass Trio will make its debut performance, and I’m confident that audiences will enjoy the concert experience. We hope that campus and Maryville community members will join us.”
A member of the St. Joseph Symphony and the Bell Tower Brass, Richardson is a professor of music and assistant department chair at Northwest. In addition to teaching teaches trumpet and various music courses, he directs the Northwest jazz ensembles.
