Clarence Green, chief of University Police at Northwest Missouri State University, is featured as one of “50 Missourians You Should Know” in the latest edition of Ingram’s business magazine.
In the article, Green describes changes in campus policing, the scrutiny university police departments receive for their investigative practices and his work in the law enforcement field.
Green joined Northwest in 1996 and was named to lead its police department in 1997. He also is an adjunct faculty member in the Department of Behavioral Sciences. Green is a police academy coordinator for the Missouri Sheriff’s Association and is serving a four-year term on the Law Enforcement Coordinating Committee Executive Committee.
Green earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Northwest and holds several law enforcement and emergency management certifications.
The annual listing feature includes business executives, educators and state leaders. Larry Lee, director of Northwest’s Dean L Hubbard Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, was featured in the magazine’s 2014 edition.
