The Tourin’ Bearcats are sponsoring an all-inclusive trip to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, next year. Tourin’ Bearcats, a travel program for Northwest Missouri State University alumni and friends, will offer two trips next year.

The Northwest Alumni Association is sponsoring an all-inclusive trip to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, Jan 24-29, 2015, and a Western Mediterranean Cruise Sept. 4-13, 2015.

The trip to Puerto Vallarta includes a stay at the five-star Marival Residences Luxury Resort. Expenses start at $1,799 per person and upgrades are available. Prices are based on double occupancy and round-trip airfare out of Kansas City International Airport.

Free food and drinks will be provided at the resort’s restaurants and bars, including a private VIP beach club with complete beverage and concierge service. The trip also includes a free excursion and unlimited golf on four separate courses. A deposit of $350 per person is due at booking. The final payment is due Oct. 6.

The 10-day cruise will include stops in Barcelona, Palma de Mallorca, Provence, Florence, Pisa, Rome, and Naples. Cruise packages start at $1,839 per person, not including airfare. All options are based on pre-night hotel, transfers, cruise and taxes.

“The Northwest Alumni Association’s Tourin’ Bearcats travel program gives our alumni the opportunity to travel to places all throughout the world,” said Bob Machovsky, director of alumni relations and annual giving. “What is nice about the trips is that they are all planned for the alumni, so it gives them a relaxing way to travel without having to worry about all the details. It also allows them to travel with a group of people that they already share the commonality of being Northwest alumni.”

Recent Tourin’ Bearcats destinations have included San Antonio, Virginia Triangle, Ireland and an Alaskan cruise. Tourin’ Bearcats trips are co-sponsored by KXCV-KRNW, Northwest’s 100,000-watt National Public Radio affiliate.
