Reservations accepted for Tourin’ Bearcats’ trip to Mexico

A trip to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, is the next trip offered by Tourin’ Bearcats, the travel program for Northwest Missouri State University alumni and friends.

The Northwest Alumni Association-sponsored trip, which is open to the public, has two different options from which guests may choose. The first option is Jan. 4-9, 2014, and price per person starts at $2,169. The second option for the trip is Jan. 4-11, 2014, starting at $2,699 per person. Both options are based on double occupancy and include round-trip airfare from Kansas City International and travel insurance.

Trip highlights include a stay at the Marival Residences and World Spa, a five-star all-inclusive luxury resort, free food and drinks at the resort’s restaurants and bar, private beach club with VIP services, one free select excursion with different options and unlimited championship golf on four separate courses. Tourin’ Bearcats also may participate in other activities nearby.

“Northwest Alumni and friends want to travel with a group with whom they have something in common, and they like that they can just show up and the trip details are taken care of,” said Polly Howard, Northwest’s director of alumni and donor relations. “We are pleased to offer this opportunity to our loyal alumni and friends.”

Recent Tourin’ Bearcats destinations have included San Antonio, Virginia Triangle, Ireland and a Danube River cruise. Future trips are planned to Alaska next summer and the Panama Canal next fall. Tourin’ Bearcats trips are co-sponsored by KXCV-KRNW, Northwest’s 100,000-watt National Public Radio affiliate.

Reservations, with a $250 per person deposit, are due at booking, and final payment is due Oct. 4. Early registration is encouraged due to limited space availability. Checks should be made out and mailed to Cruise Holidays of Kansas City, 7000 N.W. Prairie View Rd., Kansas City, MO 64468.
