The Northwest Missouri State University Board of Regents during its regular meeting Thursday, Aug. 1, approved the University’s academic calendar for 2015-2016 as well as the University’s list of candidates for degrees, which were awarded at that evening’s commencement ceremony.
Fall classes begin Aug. 31, 2015, with Walkout Day slated for Oct. 23 and the winter commencement on Dec. 18. After the winter break, classes resume Jan. 11, 2016, with spring commencement on April 30.
In other business, the Board gave approval for the University to engage with PFM Asset Management LLC to invest Northwest’s funds in accordance with the University’s investment policy.
The Board also approved an amendment to the University’s Student Code of Conduct giving students amnesty when seeking emergency medical assistance for themselves or for others who are impaired by alcohol or other substances.
The Board of Regents is responsible for sound resource management of the University and determining general, educational and financial policies.
