Northwest Missouri State University students have the opportunity to win a $100 Visa Gift Card by showing off their internships, practicums, field experiences and directed teaching experiences in an annual contest sponsored by Career Services.

Photos will be displayed on the Career Services website and should depict the student in his or her internship environment. Past submissions have included students working with wildlife, teaching overseas or doing field research.

Submissions may be from any experience in fall 2012, spring 2013 or summer 2013. Students may upload photos by logging on to the Career Services website or from their smartphones with the latest versions of IOS and Android. The photo should include a caption and a 300-word description of what made the internship interesting.

Students can submit their photos until Wednesday, Aug. 14. Career Services will appoint a panel of judges, who will select a winning photo.

“The Internship Photo Contest provides Northwest an opportunity to share students’ experiences and success with all of Bearcat Nation” Rosalie Weathermon, career development coordinator, said. “Additionally, it helps us spark the interest and imagination of students at the beginning of their career development.”

Career Services began the photo contest in 2008 as a way to draw attention to Northwest students participating in a variety of learning opportunities. To view photos from past contests, click here.
