The Northwest Missouri State University Homecoming committee has announced royalty candidates for the University's 2011 Homecoming celebration.
Students may begin voting Monday, Oct. 10, by logging onto CatPaws. The king and queen will be announced at about 9 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 20, during the Homecoming Variety Show.
Joining Northwest's Homecoming royalty this year will be Homecoming Princess Lucy Parsons, who is the daughter of Tye and Vanessa Parsons, and Homecoming Prince Will Thornsberry, who is the son of Jeff and Gretchen Thornsberry. Lucy and Will are in first grade at Horace Mann Laboratory School.
Northwest will celebrate its Homecoming week, "Once Upon a Time," Oct. 16-23. Events are open to all Northwest students, alumni, faculty, staff, families, friends and community members. For a complete schedule of Homecoming 2011 activities and events, click here.
The Variety Show is 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 20, and Friday, Oct. 21, at the Ron Houston Center for the Performing Arts. Tickets are free and available at the Student Services Center or at the door.
