Alysa Kramer

Alysa Kramer

Alysa Kramer, a vocal music major from Kansas City, was awarded the $1,000 Vernon J. Barrett Scholarship Feb. 11, as the result of a competition.

The Barrett scholarship is given in honor of Mr. Vernon Barrett, a former music major at Northwest. It is the highest Northwest Foundation scholarship awarded annually to a music major who holds the rank of junior or senior. While the competition is open to vocalists and instrumentalists, Kramer was recognized for her singing.

Kramer is a voice student of Dr. Pamela Shannon, associate professor of music at Northwest. She also is an accomplished violinist and concert master of the Northwest Symphony Orchestra.
