Northwest's is one of more than 700 active chapters of Sigma Tau Delta around the world. Members at Northwest have the opportunity to share their love of literature and rhetoric, composition and critical theory, creative writing and English education with like-minded peers. Being a member of the organization enriches the study of English beyond the in-classroom experience. Members have also found Sigma Tau Delta to be a useful forum for career guidance, a place to be further recognized for their accomplishments and, along the way, have a little fun. Members may apply, or in some cases instantly qualify, for one of the Society's awards and scholarships.
