Want to start a business? Come learn The Rest of the Story.

All other trainings, workshops, advisors, etc. show you HOW to start your business, but Right Start KCTM shows you WHAT to expect, WHO you need, and WHY all of these items need to be addressed BEFORE starting your business. To quote Paul Harvey, famous radio personality, Right Start KCTM is “the rest of the story.”

  • Learn from seasoned entrepreneurs who tell their stories about what they’ve learned and landmines to avoid.
  • Access thousands of dollars of market research from a business consultant who freely shares her access to Fortune 500 databases.
  • Each session is collaborative & interactive, ensuring memorable experiences.

This event is presented by Northwest Missouri State University – Kansas City and DocuLock, LLC.

Day 1 - October 26

  • What to expect as an entrepreneur. Hear the stories of three entrepreneurs and what they wish they would’ve known before starting their businesses. Also learn where to find the correct market research as well as beginning business etiquette.

Day 2 - November 2

  • Learn from two different entrepreneurs about connecting while networking and true customer service. Continue with 3-D business etiquette and how to define your true value proposition for your customers.

Day 3 - November 9

  • Putting it all into practice: the entire class breaks into teams to compete against each other in an entrepreneur face-off. The series ends with your Right Start KCTM completion certificate.
