Faculty Led Short Term Programs

What is a faculty led short-term program?

A faculty led short term study program is an academic experience involving both traditional learning and experiential learning opportunities in an international setting. The primary purpose of the faculty led short term study program course is to help students apply first-hand international experience to their own academic development.

A short-term program can be as short as a one week over spring break or as long as three weeks over the summer. Depending on the dynamics of the program you can choose to travel abroad over spring break while teaching a semester long class or teach the whole program abroad for 3 to 4 weeks.

Are there any requirements set for students?

Yes! Students must have a minimum GPA of 2.5 and good academic standing in order to be eligible to participate in the faculty led short term study program. In addition to this, you can set your or requirements for the course; for example a pre-requisite or language abilities.

What are the deadlines for submitting a proposal?

Summer programs: October 1
Spring programs: July 1
Fall programs: March 1
