Interest and Activities

Outdoor Nature Explore Classrooms are a topic of interest in my professional life.  Planning and creating the Leet Center’s outdoor classroom is an exciting part of my responsibilities.  Action Research and Teacher Inquiry processes are also topic of interests.  In my personal life I enjoy spending time with my family outside, reading and working on crafty projects.

Other Professional Experience

  • Project Construct Certified, 2006
  • Service on the Ploghoft Lecture Series Committee

Favorite Things About Teaching

Sharing children’s experiences and ponderings through project work as well as reading stories together are the things I love about teaching. Listening to the many stories children share about what they are thinking is touching.  The individual relationships that develop through the day and through being together are important to me.

Goals for the Year

  • Working successfully with the Leet Center Team
  • Creating a school wide inquiry process
  • Study about the best practices of teaching young children
