Description

Invited alumni, Vineeth Agarwal, MS ACS alumni and Node.js Developer/Lead at PayPal in California will present suggestions for successfully finding a great position. He will provide suggestions for actions from school to post-graduation, until successfully landing a job. Topics will include:

  1. What technology/domain to choose for your career?
  2. What are the current opportunities available in the market and what are employers looking for?
  3. Are you prepared enough to crack the interviews?
  4. Should you go for a full-time opportunity or take a contracting position?
  5. How to prepare your resume?
  6. Where to search for job opportunities?
  7. Is it good or bad to get your OPT EAD card early?
  8. How does experience matter when getting a job?

Mr. Agarwal is currently leading a backend web development team with members in San Jose and Chennai. Come with questions and learn the actions you can take to help find satisfying employment in applied computer science.
