Northwest Missouri State University

Education Expo

Tuesday, October 3, 2017

Lamkin Activity Center (Bearcat Arena)
 8:30 - 10:30 AM

Education Expo is a career fair designed to connect qualified teacher applicants with prospective employers. New and alumni teacher candidates are encouraged to present their resumes, introduce themselves and discuss current/potential openings with attending representatives.

Education Expo also gives younger Northwest students a chance to network, learn more about the teaching profession and explore career paths offered by the attending employers.

What is Education Expo and how will it benefit my organization?

Participating in Education Expo is a great way to get your district’s name and brand shared across campus. It is a wonderful opportunity to meet prospective students, promote your district, connect and network with faculty, and build relationships throughout Northwest. Through attending this event, students begin to develop an awareness of your district, which may lead them to apply for full-time or student teaching opportunities in the future.

How much does Education Expo cost?

The event is free to attend.

How do I register for Next Day Interviews and On-Campus Recruiting?

Employers visit the Northwest Missouri State University campus each trimester to recruit quality candidates. They can promote their job/internship opportunities through hosting information sessions/information tables, conducting on-campus interviews, and participating in career events like Career Day or Next Day Interviews. These activities provide students with the opportunity to meet recruiters and network within their industry without leaving campus!

To register for On-Campus Recruiting CLICK HERE.

REMINDER: Post your career and internship opportunities to Hire A Bearcat, our online recruiting system. The postings will enable students to research and prepare for the event.

Hire A Bearcat is part of the NACElink Network, the result of a national professional alliance among the National Association of Colleges and Employers, DirectEmployers Association, and Symplicity Corporation and is the only job listing service that provides employers the ability to directly interact with Northwest Missouri State University students and alumni. Your username and password apply to all NACElink institutions through OneStop.

  • Meet contacts and network with recruiters within the education industry while on campus
  • Familiarize yourself with the district’s application and interview process
  • Increase your chance of securing interviews for student teaching or job offers

How do I sign-up?

There is no pre-registration process for the event. Upon arrival candidates will be asked to check-in and create a name tag.
