NO! You may pay one-half of the camp fee when you register, and make your final payment before June 8, 2022. OR...you may pay the entire camp fee at registration.
No.
For band participants, YES. Auditions will be held to determine chair placement in ensembles, and will consist of:
If your solo is slow and melodic, choose a technical etude that demonstrates your technical facility, or vice versa. (Younger and less experienced musicians may use material from a band method or technique book used in their regular school band class. Check with your band director to make sure the material you choose is appropriate!)
Choir participants will have a placement audition on Sunday during check-in time. You do not need to bring prepared material(s) for the placement audition.
Students are accepted into Summer Music Camp on a first come, first served basis.
Absolutely! We accept students who are currently in grades 7 through 12 for the 2021-22 academic school year.
Students register for the level that corresponds to their current (2021-22 academic school year) grade level. So, you would register for the MIDDLE SCHOOL level.
Unfortunately, no; our age requirements have changed. We now accept students who will have FINISHED 7th grade in the spring of 2021 (and are 13 years of age) through those who will have finished 12th grade in the spring of 2021.
You will be placed on our waiting list, and your payment will be refunded entirely if we are unable to include you for this summer’s camp. You can find more information about the waiting list below.
It is possible your application was not processed completely. You should have received an email to the address you included in your application. If you did not get a confirmation email, you may not have completed the registration process. Check to see if your payment processed, and contact Northwest to check on your registration status.
WRONG! Summer Music Camp is for middle school and high school students of ALL performance levels. In fact, you will likely discover that your interest and abilities in music have improved because you attended!
