COVID-19 Mitigation Measures

All employees, students and visitors are expected to comply with the following mitigation measures while at work, attending classes, or visiting the Northwest campus and its facilities. Northwest requests that individuals self-monitor for COVID-19 or related symptoms and do not come to campus if symptoms present.

While the city of Maryville requires the wearing of face coverings in public, through April 30, 2021, Northwest also requires all individuals to wear face coverings in the presence of others on campus and in public settings where social distancing measures are difficult to maintain (e.g., hallways, common work spaces, meeting rooms, classrooms, etc.). The appropriate use of face coverings is critical to minimize the spread of COVID-19 to others. Wearing a face covering not only protects you; it is us collectively protecting one another.

To protect yourself and others, Northwest urges its community to practice the following mitigation measures:

  • Wash and sanitize hands frequently for at least 20 seconds.
  • Maintain at least 6 feet of distance between other individuals in all areas of campus, inside campus facilities and outdoors.
  • Wear a face covering when 6 feet of social distancing is difficult to maintain, inside campus facilities and outdoors.
  • Use additional physical barriers where services to employees, students and stakeholders are provided and 6 feet of social distancing cannot be achieved or consistently maintained.
