Mozingo Conference Center
1 Fall Drive | Maryville, MO 64468
Hosted by Northwest Missouri State University

Middle School is a fundamental time in a student’s life. It is an age where students are curious about everything and are highly influenced by digital information. It is also a time in which many students begin making daily decisions related to what food they consume. Is it possible to capture their natural curiosity and positively impact their level of understanding related to the food system? What role do we as educators, producers and fellow consumers play in students understanding where their food comes from?

The summit is designed to bring educators, producers, industry professionals and students together to have a conversation around helping our youth, particularly middle school students, better understand and appreciate the food system.
