My favorite part about being a Bearcat:

My favorite part about being a Bearcats is all the friends that I have made and getting the opportunity to feel a part of something really big.

I’m excited for SOAR because:

I am excited about SOAR because I love meeting the incoming class!

Favorite part about attending SOAR as a freshman:

My favorite thing about attending SOAR as a freshman was making my class schedule and seeing what I got to take my first semester.

In my free time, I enjoy:

In my free time, I enjoy reading (a lot), music, guitar hero, magic the gathering and volunteering at Nodaway Humane Society.

My favorite Northwest tradition is:

My favorite Northwest tradition is playing with the BMB at freshman Convocation. I am a drum major so I get to conduct the band this year!

Student Organizations I’m involved in:

  • Sigma Alpha Iota (social music fraternity, not greek life)
  • National Association for Music Education
  • Bearcat Marching Band (BMB)

I chose Northwest because:

I chose Northwest because tt was far enough away from home to where I felt I was leaving but still close enough to come back. The music program is amazing as well!

Advice for other freshmen:

Don’t be afraid to ask for help from peers and professors. It’s okay if you forget some things when you move in. Make a packing list, go to Student Activities Council (SAC) events because they are SUPER cool!
