SOAR Leader

My favorite part about being a Bearcat:

My favorite part about being a Bearcats is the community! Everybody is willing to help you and encourage you to be your very best version.

I’m excited for SOAR because:

I am excited about SOAR because I get to meet and have fun with incoming freshmen and their families by showing them everything that Northwest has to offer as well as watch personalities and relationships evolve among the team.

Favorite part about attending SOAR as a freshman:

As an international student I didn't attend SOAR but rather the International Student Orientation. My favorite part was to be surrounded by people from all these different backgrounds getting together at Northwest to start a new chapter of our lives.

In my free time, I enjoy:

In my free time, I enjoy listening to music (rap, hip hop, pop, reggaeton, edm, french indie), learning about other languages, facetiming with my family and friends from home, hanging out with my friends and going for walks around town during sunset!

My favorite Northwest tradition is:

My favorite Northwest tradition is the International Flag Raising Ceremony.

Student Organizations I’m involved in:

  • International Student Organization
  • AdInk
  • LeadGreen.

I chose Northwest because:

I chose Northwest because besides having a wonderful program for my major and combos like offering a laptop and textbooks, the deal breaker was the communication with the Admissions Office. Everyone was supportive and kindly answered everything that I asked (quite a lot).

Advice for other freshmen:

Ask questions and show up! Everybody is going or has already gone through the same situation you are in right now. Ask questions to faculty or other students, even if you don't know them. Every chance to meet new people and see what's happening on campus is an opportunity for fun times, personal development or a good conversation.
