Bobby Bearcat

Bobby Bearcat became the Northwest mascot in 1916, and can be found with the cheerleaders at home football and basketball games and at other University events

BASEBALL: More than 15 players have gone on to play professional baseball MEN'S BASKETBALL: Winner of three of four regular season MIAA Conference Championships since 2011 FOOTBALL: Winner of 27 MIAA Championships and five NCAA Division II national championships TRACK & FIELD and CROSS COUNTRY: Produced 100 All-American and seven individual male national champions, 46 All-American and two individual women student-athletes WOMEN'S BASKETBALL: Advanced to the Final Four of the NCAA Division II national tournament in 2011 GOLF: Began NCAA competition in 2007 SOCCER: Competed in the first ever, neutral site MIAA tournament championship SOFTBALL: Played in postseason in nine of the last 10 years TENNIS: Recorded more than 1,000 wins under Coach Mark Rosewell VOLLEYBALL: In 13 out of the past 15 seasons, members of the team have been recognized on the MIAA Academic Honor Roll. CHEERLEADING: Placed in the UCA Division II College Nationals consecutive for 10 years.
