Experience: Living on Campus

Selecting a Room and Roommate

Focusing on student success — every student, every day — is Northwest’s mission, and Auxiliary Services and Residential Life are proud partners in this endeavor. Students who live on campus are part of a well-rounded university experience that fosters academic success and personal growth.

Room selection for first-year students begins April 23, 2019.

Pick your roommate through RoomSync begins January 30, 2019.

RoomSync is a roommate matching service that empowers students to self-select their own roommates. RoomSync will suggest compatible roommates, or you may search using a variety of tools. Chat with, review profiles and pin potential roommates. Found your match? Click the roommate request button. If the other person accepts, both students report the match in their Housing Applications in the housing system via CatPAWS and you are done!

Pet-Friendly Housing

Having animals on campus allows students to bring a piece of home to campus, easing one's transition and overall experience. As a privilege to our students, residents of the Forest Village Apartments (Hawthorn and Sycamore) may bring certain animals to live with them as pets. Allowed animals include cats, dogs, small birds, hedgehogs, hamsters, gerbils, guinea pigs, rabbits, turtles and fish held in tanks of 30 gallons or less. Any pets living on campus must be approved, and residents must adhere to the policy.
