Should I Build from Scratch?

Course Migration Options:

  1. Build your course site from scratch.
    • This is an opportunity for you to take a fresh look at course materials.
    • This is an opportunity to de-clutter your course files. This will give you an opportunity to be sure the files in your course site are the files you are currently using, and that they are all up-to-date.
    • This is an opportunity to ensure the structure of your course site fits the new system. There may be features available that were not available before
    • This is an opportunity for you to thoroughly become familiar with the new Northwest Online.
  2. Have your course materials copied from the current Northwest Online to the new Northwest Online.
    • This is an opportunity to preserve the existing structure of your course site.
    • While the materials will be moved for you, there will still be some "clean up" and restructuring that will need to occur.
    • You will need to ensure that your course site is prepped before the materials are moved using the "Packing to Move" checklist.
    • Once the site has been moved to the new Northwest Online, you will need to follow the "Post-Move Checklist" to ensure your course site is ready for the semester.
