Valentine Osakwe and Zerryn Gines are Northwest students whose start-up business was recently featured in Forbes magazine, Free Tech For Black Founders Initiative Saves Startup Aiming To Help Small Businesses

Dr. Arghya Goswami, an assistant professor of geology, received an invitation to join the American Geophysical Union Bridge Program. The program provides resources to help the geosciences community learn more about inclusive practices for recruiting, admitting and retaining students in geosciences graduate programs.

Dr. Justin Mallett, assistant vice president of diversity and inclusion, presented at the Missouri Association of Registrar’s and Admissions Officers meeting. Mallett presented about implicit bias and how it affects the admissions process.

Dr. Augustus Hallmon, assistant professor of recreation, authored four articles that were published in summer 2020:

Carlyn Carpenter, Darren Ross and Mayowa Omolade were recipients of scholarships awarded from the Karen L. Daniel Legacy Fund.

Dr. Clarence Green was appointed interim president of Northwest Missouri State University, effective July 1, 2022.

Mark and Ashlee Hendrix were honored with Commitment to Diversity and Inclusion Awards.
