Funded through the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA). The guiding principle of this grant is to foster the healthiest learning environment possible for its students through the collaboration of the university and its partners in the Maryville Community in the domain of suicide prevention adn the promotion of mental health services. Through education, training, policy development, and collaboration, Northwest's program aims to reduce suicides and suicidal behaviors on its campus.
Funded through Heartland Foundation Healthy Partnerships. This grant initiative provides resources to Northwest students to effectively quit using tobacco products.

This hotline is offered by Northwest Missouri State University to provide emergency responses to sexual assaults. Upon calling, a dispatcher will determine the current status of the victime regarding their personal safety. Police and/or medical attention will be immediately provided if needed. Information will be obtained about the location of the victim if they are already at a safe location, and a trained respondent will respond to the call. Calling the hotline does not obligate victims to file a police report, pursue any legal action, or seek medical attention. However, victims are encouraged to seek medical attention at St. Francis Hospital and Health Services.
