Cough Etiquette

Flu germs spread mainly through coughs and sneezes. These can spray droplets through the air and into the mouths or noses of people nearby, as well as onto surfaces such as phones and counters that people touch before touching their nose, mouth or eyes.

Infections can be passed to others before a sick person actually has signs and symptoms.

Try to avoid the "invisible flu germs."  One can do this by trying to stay at least 3 feet away from a person who is coughing or sneezing. Don’t touch your eyes, nose or mouth. Wash your hands often to prevent germs on your hands from getting into your body.

If you are sick act responsibly. Stay at home and try to isolate yourself so you do not expose others.
