Northwest Missouri State University

Fees

You do not have to pay for services at the time of your visit. The charges can always be charged to your University account.

Students who are enrolled in six or more hours on campus pay a health fee of $70 for fall and $70 for spring trimester. Students enrolled in less than six hours and those who access care during the summer months are charged a fee for service for the visit with the physician, nurse practitioner or licensed professional nurse.

During the clinic visit, the health fee covers the costs of the consultation, diagnosis and treatment recommendations that are not otherwise covered by health insurance.

This fee does not cover the cost of medications, supplies like splints and ace wraps, laboratory tests or procedures like injections and minor surgeries.

The health fee also covers the cost of visits to the University Counseling Center.

  1. The fee is not a WELLNESS CENTER fee but is a fee to cover services provided by the combined counseling center and wellness center. In the past there has been no charge for counseling services and the University has funded the operation, including salaries and services. This is now covered under the health fee.
  2. The administration and the Board of Regents make decisions about funding sources for operation of University services.
